Delegate Pastoral & Agricultural Society president John Guthrie said organisers were very pleased with the day.
"I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that contributed to this years show, it was once again a splendid community effort.
"It was pleasing to see so much in the pavilion given the difficult season we have just come though. It is a real testament to the resilience of exhibitors.
"The display of the talents of the district in the art, handicrafts, floral art, cooking, condiments and photography section along with the produce in the vegetables, fruit, flowers and wool sections provided a wonderful display in the pavilion," he said.
There was strong competition in the wool section this year with long time exhibitor, Peter Guthrie scooping the pool with the exception of the TWG three fleece competition that was won by JW and RM Guthrie.
"Peter's Champion Fleece of the show will compete at the Sydney Royal in a special class for fleeces from country shows," president Guthrie said.
This year the Sheep Dog Trials attracted a number of new entrants.
"It was terrific to see John Perry, on of our long standing competitors, trialling the NSW 2018 Sheep Dog of the Year here," Mr Guthrie said.
The Hon. Bronnie Taylor MP opened the show and was kept busy helping judge the baby, tiny tots and junior Miss Showgirl competition and decorated bike competition.
The sheep colouring competition proved quite popular with Mr Guthrie saying that some sheep needed to be coloured twice, such was the interest.
"An added attraction this year was the 'dunking' of Delegate's local policeman who generously agreed to be dunked, not once, but three times with the funds raised going towards entertainment at next year's show.
"The night culminated in an impressive display of fireworks which the young and the young at heart all thoroughly enjoyed, along with a barbecue dinner and music provided by MixFix."
