An impressive display of fleeces reflecting the profitability of the wool industry were placed before judge and Schute Bell Badgery Lumby northern wool manager Greg Andrews during the 2019 Royal Canberra Show.

Chief wool steward Stuart Sutherland was pleased many woolgrowers from the Monaro, southern tablelands and southwest slopes supported the show with a range of top quality fleeces.
"We had 80 fleeces which was 11 more than last year and there was some great quality among them," he said.
Grand champion fleece was exhibited by the Davis family, Demondrille, Harden, which had been previously judged champion ewe fleece, commercial by Mr Andrews. With a weight of five kilograms and 77 per cent yield, the 16.7 micron fleece was valued at $103.95.
The reserve grand champion fleece and champion ram fleece, housed was shown by Kenny Armour, Gunning, and the 15.9 micron fleece was valued at $124.14.
The champion commercial value fleece, unhoused and valued at $182.70 was entered by Don and Lyn Southwell, Carleon, Bredbo.
The fleece, which weighed 8.7kg, measured 17.4 micron with 2.7 standard deviation.
The champion housed fleece was entered by the Lette family, Conrayn, Berridale, and their 19.1 micron fleece weighed seven kilograms and was valued at $126. The champion commercial value fleece, housed was shown by Graham Privett, Glenleigh, Gunning and was a 13kg ram fleece.
Measuring 18.2 microns it was valued at $218.27.
Don and Lyn Southwell, Bredbo, exhibited the champion ram fleece.
