The Member for Monaro John Barilaro made the funding announcement on Monday and commended the staff at both facilities for their commitment to the community.
“In November I had the pleasure of meeting with some of these hardworking nurses who spoke about a number of nursing issues.
“As a result, I tabled a petition in Parliament calling for increased medical care for the region, signed by many residents from Bombala and Delegate.
“The nurses also raised with me the need for better equipment across Bombala MPS and Delegate MPS, and I’m pleased to be able to deliver funding for the purchase of new equipment.”
The $105,000 grant will be used to buy important equipment including an i-STAT bedside testing machine, bladder scanner, vein finder and defibrillator.
