The newly formed Snowy Monaro Arts and Cultural Advisory Committee will promote the arts and culture in the region as well as provide strategic advice to the council in relation to the development of arts and culture.
Snowy Monaro Regional councillor Sue Haslingden, council's representative on the committee said one of the priorities for the committee is to potentially form sub committees throughout the area that will provide feedback to the overarching committee.
"This way many voices will be heard," Clr Haslingden said. "Another priority is to find and develop arts and cultural precincts."
"Bombala has been fortunate enough to have the beautiful old Infants School and through various negotiations with government and council, the community now has a potential arts and innovation hub," she said.
