There were a few mechanical breakdowns that can remain unmentioned, but the majority of the 39 entrants in the weekend inaugural 'Over 50s Classic' car rally completed around 360 km over Saturday and Sunday, as well as driving up to 800 km to get to the event and return home.

On Saturday, the participants completed about 180 km round trip from Cooma via Eucumbene Dam and Adaminaby to Anglers Reach and return; while on Sunday they completed a similar distance from Cooma to Burnima Homestead in Bombala and then returned for lunch in the Cooma Car Club clubhouse.
Frank Mackie from Orangeville won the trophy for 'Car of the Classic' with his 1928 Chevrolet National, and William and Marlene Moxon won the trophy for 'Best Period Dressed'.
Ian and Paula Richardson from The Oaks won the 'Hard Luck' trophy after a hard but ultimately satisfying Saturday.
Their 1957 MGA had dislodged its exhaust from the manifold when they reached Eucumbene Dam, nevertheless Ian then drove the car back to the Cooma Motor Inn where they were staying and bolted the pipe back to the manifold with assistance from Paul, the motor Inn manager.
Ian then drove the car to Anglers Reach to arrive in time for lunch... outstanding.
Many of the entrants came from the Snowy Monaro and the Far South Coast, nevertheless there was a good number of entrants from around Camden and the ACT, and Barry Wigg from Blacktown came the furthest in his Ford Falcon station wagon.
