9.16am: A NSW Police Media spokeswoman has confirmed a woman has died at the scene after her sedan collided with the truck.
The car was heading north and the truck heading south. The crash occurred in the southbound lane.
The truck driver has been taken to Moruya Hospital for mandatory testing.
8.49am: A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman has confirmed one person has died due to injuries sustained during the crash.
She said another person suffered "serious injuries", and is expected to be transported to hospital in a stable condition.
Two paramedic units responded to the initial 000 call at 7.06am, she said.
8.34am: Traffic is banked for long distances in both directions on the Princes Highway. Motorists are advised to delay travel and avoid the area. Trucks are being parked but lighter vehicles are using the Old Highway.
8.16am: Emergency crews report a truck and car have collided on the Princes Highway south of Narooma.
Live Traffic reports the Princes Highway is closed in both directions approximately 2km south of the Old Hwy.
Light vehicles can divert via the Old Hwy while heavy vehicles are being parked.
It is understood the crash was reported at about 7.20am.
Witnesses said traffic on the Old Highway is heavy as people seek to avoid the crash scene.
Parts of the Old Highway are unsealed and those taking the diversion route are urged to take care.
