The MDC is in its seventh year and is a fun walk for 5km for the entire family with entry fees going to breast cancer research. Entrants are encouraged to dress up.
This year the MDC and the Sapphire Coast runners have joined forces to produce a morning of everything from a fun 5km walk to a 5km run and for the serious runners a 10km run.
The event will be staged jointly by Merimbula Rotary Club and the Sapphire Coast Runners on May 12 with the start of all events at Spencer Park.
You can register at www.mothersdayclassic.com.au but online registrations close on Wednesday at midnight. It is possible to register on the day but it is cash only.

Sapphire Coast Runners president Glenn Edmonds said it was great to have the MDC and Merimbula Rotary on board. No roads will be closed but Merimbula Rotary will be marshalling throughout the course and ensuring the safety of those involved.
Mr Edmonds said the Sapphire Coast Runners welcomed new members of all levels.
"Our oldest member is in his 80s and we also host a kid's event on Wednesday afternoons."
