The Bega Roosters have handed the Bombala Blue Heelers their biggest loss in two seasons.
The first grade Roosters scored a 48-10 win over the visiting Heelers in a game where captain-coach Scott Barton shone with a treble at the Bega Recreation Ground.
Barton opened the account for the Roosters before going on to post a further two tries in the 21st and 56th minutes of play.
John Parbery also had a blinder from the wing, scoring a double as the Roosters hammered the visitors.
Giving the Roosters even more reason to celebrate was a win in league-tag over the previously undefeated High Heelers.
After trailing 8-0 at the break, it was a Jacinta Dummett try before sister Aleesha scored a pair that sparked the win for the Bega Chicks 16-12.
The Roosters rounded out the scorecard with an 18-4 win in the reserve grade fixture.
Ricky Stapleton and James Grant tries in the first half laid the platform, while Bega's defence again proved rock solid with a clean sheet in the first half.
Lee Fuller and Bombala's Corey Patton scored in the second half.
