To effectively combat the African Lovegrass threat a diligent, integrated, coordinated and sustained effort over many years is required if we are to seize any opportunity to reduce the impact of African Lovegrass on the Snowy Monaro region's unique natural environment and productive agricultural farmland.
You can participate by helping us develop an effective meaningful management strategy for African Lovegrass.
Under the Biosecurity Act, 2015 and the South East Regional Strategic Weed Management Plan, Snowy Monaro Regional Council has determined a list of local Priority weeds, these are detailed in the Snowy Monaro Region's Local Weed Management Plan along with the legal control requirements for each weed species.
Council is currently revising the Local Management Plan for African Lovegrass under this suite of documents and invites your comment on the draft plan. Please visit the Your Say Snowy Monaro website, link below, to have your say before June 21, 2019.
