At the last Bombala community meeting called to discuss the demerger of Snowy Monaro Regional Council a unanimous vote was past leading Save Bombala Inc to undertake the petition process.
A spokesperson for the group said that even though there were more than enough signatures to present the current petition to State Government, Save Bombala were still being inundated by requests by more residents wishing to add their voice to the demerge process.
"In order to allow all residents of the former Bombala Council area to participate, petition forms will be available for the next few weeks in Bombala at Garden Jewels and Bi-Right Electrical and in Delegate at the old Post Office.
"People wishing to sign the petition are required to use their enrolled address from the electoral roll which can be checked online at the Electoral Commission website."
Members and volunteers of Save Bombala will be at Garden Jewels in Bombala on Saturday, June 1 between 10am and 2pm to answer any questions and assist residents in filling out the petition form.
