NAIDOC Week is an Australian observance that celebrates the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and runs from the first Sunday in July for a week.
The Theme this year is 'Voice Treaty Truth - Let's Work Together For a Shared Future'.
The celebration started with an Acknowledgement of Country and a traditional smoking ceremony performed by indigenous elder Nathan Lygon.
Afterwards students enjoyed a tasty kangaroo sausage sizzle, an enlightening presentation by John Blay, author of The Bundian Way, and an exploration of artefacts shared by Nathan.
Bombala Public School principal Jo Tozer said, "The sessions were greatly enjoyed and we look forward to future sharing sessions."
