A woman has been charged after allegedly abusing an 89-year-old man at Cooma on the weekend.

The man - who was a resident in an aged-care facility - was in his wheelchair shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday, July 13 when he was allegedly assaulted by the 61-year-old.
The matter was reported to police and an investigation began, resulting in the arrest of the Cooma woman on Tuesday, July 16.
She was taken to Cooma Police Station and was charged with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and five counts of assault.
The woman was granted conditional bail and will face Cooma Local Court on August 7.
