In light of this, residents are requested to consider delaying visiting the Jindabyne Landfill until the weather abates.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council's waste facilities will remain open unless weather conditions make the area unsafe for staff and patrons.

Council will continue to monitor landfill conditions and will advise the public if either the Cooma Landfill or Jindabyne Landfill is required to close due to high winds or unsafe conditions.
