A man has been charged over a car crash that claimed the lives of two people north of Cooma last month.

Police said about 3.40am on Sunday, July 28 emergency services were called to the Monaro Hwy near Rose Valley Rd, Bunyan after reports a Mazda 6 sedan travelling southbound had left the road and rolled.
Two of the car's passengers died at the scene, including a 21-year-old male who was in the front seat and a 22-year-old female in the back seat.
The driver, a 22-year-old man, suffered a serious head laceration and two male passengers, aged 19 and 20, suffered superficial head lacerations.
Officers from the Lake Illawarra Crash Investigation Unit began an investigation over the incident and about 7pm on Friday, August 2 the driver was arrested at Sydney Airport as he was attempting to board a flight out of the country.
The driver, a Nepalese national, was taken to Mascot Police Station and received several different charges.
The charges were two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, two counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct, negligent driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail to and will appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday, August 3.
