Club spokesman Hedley Lucas said the group were focused around providing all kinds of support for people in the rugby league community.
Just recently a group of committee members caught up with former Bega Rooster Allan Wheatley who is recovering from a stroke.
"The visit was part of the community outreach work that we do as the Men of League," Mr Lucas said.
Mr Lucas said he visits Mr Wheatley and gives him massages to help rehabilitate his injuries, while the group aimed to look out for anyone in the league community.
"If anyone else is in need of anything we're encouraging them to give us a ring and contact the Men of League, we're always willing to help people."
Mr Lucas said the local group were passionate about providing both social and mental welfare support, while also providing fun social outings for everyone.
The group also try to keep things light and fun with the major fundraising efforts largely based around two novelty events where current and former league players - both men and women - are encouraged to drop the footy in favour of some lawn bowls or golf clubs.
The club's golf day is set to be held around October, while venue discussions are underway for the bowls day likely to go ahead in November.
People of all ages and abilities will be welcome to take part.
