Reserve grade
A solid opening 10 minutes in both attack and defence allowed the Bombala Reserves to obtain good field position and Paul Gimbert was the first to score.
There were numerous missed opportunities in the next 10 minutes before Tathra made Bombala pay when the Tathra centre brushed off five defenders to score a simple try to make the score 6 - 6. The last 15 minutes of the half was to and fro until Tathra scored a try prior to halftime from a grubber kick that bounced off defenders before being regathered. 6 - 10 at halftime.
The second half was a dour affair before feeling started to creep into the game and their were penalties conceded by both teams for illegal play.
Consistent field position was finally turned into points when the Tathra dummy half scored a simple try from close range. 6 - 14. With the game on the line captain coach James Coates as he has down when needed steadied the ship and steered Jordan Rosten over the line with a beautiful pass to give Bombala a sniff. But it was not to be and Tathra ran out victors 16 -10.
Players Player points: 1 Tom Eccles, 2 Jordan Rosten and 3 Logan Brownlie.
