The aircraft which had left Moruya at 7.56pm made multiple circuits over the ocean prior to landing.
F&R Eden said the emergency response plan for airport emergencies was activated and, once emergency agencies were in place at the airport, the aircraft made a successful landing with one engine shut down.
According to the F&R Eden information emergency services were told prior to the plane landing, that the plane had an engine fire which had been extinguished by the pilots.
The plane landed safely and landed as normal.
Happily none of the passengers or crew were injured.
A large contingency of emergency services attended the call, F&RNSW had three, the Rural Fire Service had three appliances, and police and paramedics were also in attendance at the airport.
