It was a cold and windy day and with both teams coming off wins in the first round, they were looking to continue that form. The Cats won the toss and chose to bat.
The innings got of to a steady start with Umback and Azzo watchful putting a loose ball to the fence.
The pair put on 40 for the first wicket before M Tonks picked up the wicket of Umback for 27.
A solid partnership between Azzo and Young looked dangerous for the home team and it was Tonks who struck again removing Azzo for 22.
Wickets fell around Young who was batting well, pouncing on anything over pitched and cutting anything that was short earning a hard fought 50.
Young continued scoring freely with wickets falling at regular intervals at the other end.
Tonks took four wickets with the ball for his efforts supported by Stephenson who took three.
Looking to press on Young was eventually out for a well made 70.
Khoury closed out the innings with quick fire 27 not out setting a defendable 183 for Bombala to win.
Bombala's innings started slow yet solid.
A new set of openers in Reay and Bannister were tasked with facing Haylock and Umback.
It took a while for the pair to get into the swing of the new ball before going about their business. Reay took to Khoury however the bowler had the last laugh removing Reay LBW.
Bannister was beginning to play his shots and showed his class hitting the ball to all areas of the park.
Once he found his groove he accelerated past 50 and single handily kept the runs ticking over.
Brooks stayed for a while before Azzo removed him and Adams in quick time after drinks.
Bannister was closing in his 100 and bought it up in style with a boundary. He was removed for a very classy 106.
Still requiring 36 to win Bombala lost two more wickets giving the visitors a sniff of an unlikely victory.
Sullivan and Ingram were able to see out the bowling getting the hosts home by four wickets with Sullivan remaining 27 not out.
