Delegate Public School pupils from stage 2 and 3 were involved in a cricket gala day held by Cricket Blast on Wednesday October 29 and the following day students from Bombala Public School took part in the Cricket Blast Gala day.
Despite the very hot weather all students participated fully enjoying a range of friendly games.
Students took turns batting and bowling with some big hits being made.
The teams rotated around the fields ensuring they played different teams.
The two spirit awards went to Michael Oakes and Beau Sheehan, with the female encouragement award going to Meisha Schofield.
Golf
Bombala lady golfers played a Stableford for Club Trophy on Wednesday.
The course is now showing the effect of no rain, even the cape weed is dying off and there is a lot of run. Di Ingram came in with the good score of 42 pts winning the Club Trophy.
Balls were won by Jean McLean 34 pts, Dawn Douch 32 pts and Heather Brown 31 pts. NTP on the 5th was won by Joy Douch. Eva L'Estrange had a gobbler on the 8th.
The field for the members were light on over the weekend. Some were at the Tathra Open, some attending a wedding and others were away.
Saturday was a Stableford for B Yelds Trophy. Merv Douch had a great round winning with 44 pts. He only lasted a day where he got a shot a hole.
Balls were won by Merv and Clay Stewart who also had a great round of 43 pts. Merv won NTP on the 17th.
Sunday was a Stableford for Club Trophy Ind Acc. The chaps hit off and played 9 holes when the much needed rain started so no results as they stayed in the club not completing the competition.

Rugby league
The Candelo-Bemboka Eden United (CUBE) opens team has won this year's Group 16 women's contact series.
In the grand final against Cooma United on the weekend they came out on top 12-nil after a hard-fought match.
It is the second year of the competition with CUBE coming third on the final ladder last season.
