Principal of Delegate Public School Brad Bannister loves his cricket and has just returned from Western Australia where he competed in the Veterans Over 50's championships.

"Prior to becoming a teacher 12 years ago, cricket was pretty much my life," he said.
Mr Bannister was selected to play in one of the two NSW teams that travelled to WA to compete against veteran teams from each state and territory in Australia.
His team won all of their four games and finished in third place overall.
"The first game was on Sunday (November 17) and we played Victoria. We were chasing 117 and got them out 5/119," he said. "I bowled and took 1/18 in that game."
Next they played Queensland winning 167 to 157. Brad got 47 not out and bowled 5 for 20.
In round 3 against the other NSW side, they made 210. Brad made 22 then bowled them out for 166 with Bannister getting 3 for 26.
"In the playoff game against Queensland we made 12/186 with Queensland all out for 144. I bowled 1/30," he said.
"Cricket has been good for me and I have had a good time doing it, mind you though, I pretty sore today but at this age it is still a lot of fun and great chance to make new friends and catch up with some I haven't seen in a while."
