This first wicket lead to another with Thornton (1/23) knocking over McDonald for 4. The visitors were 2/9. King and Redmond worked the ball into gaps. Redmond was starting to find the boundary however it was the spin of Mick Stevenson (3/38) that bought him undone.

Enter Mick 'The Wall' Stevenson, who proved difficult to remove while Power worked the ball around the field. With Bombala looking on top requiring 16 runs from 3 overs Berridale turned to Hilless who took 3 wickets in one over. The pressure was on King (1/34) who was bowling the 44th over and he delivered, bowling Power for a very well made 65. Newcomer Korie Elton and Ingram were tasked with getting Bombala home.
