Vivian Keith Moreing, or Kozzie as some people call him was born in Bega on December 27, 2019.
Keith lived his early years at Woodbine, Cathcart and attended Cathcart School until he left when he was 14 years of age to work on a dairy and around the family farm.
When Keith was 20 he went to Victoria in search of work in the timber sawmills.
It was a time when great bush fires were happening and Keith was offered a job at a particular mill.
At the time he felt uneasy about the job, saying something didn't feel right and he turned down the job offer. The next day the mill burnt down and over 80 people died in the fire.
Mr Moreing spend the next six years in the Army in Northern Queensland where he worked as a driver of an armoured tank carrier.
After leaving the Army, he returned to Cathcart where he met and married Muriel Griffiths on April 27, 1948.
The couple had six children, Kay, Wendy, Diane, Don, John and Carol.
Keith and his brother Owen purchased some more land and the brothers farmed the property 'Lakeview' together until Owen's death in 1998.
Keith was both a heavy drinker and smoker and it wasn't expected he would live a long life, however with the help of Alcoholics Anonymous he gave up drinking and went on to help many others with their addiction.
Muriel passed away aged 62 just prior to Keith's 70th birthday. Muriel and Keith have been blessed with 13 grandchildren and 22 great grand children most of whom were there to help him celebrate his birthday.
Keith continued to live at home until he was 95 and he moved to Bombala Hospital Residential Care Unit.
Keith Moreing's family would like to thank everyone who helped make his 100th birthday celebration such a wonderful occasion.
Keith particularly enjoyed the special morning tea and the card from the Queen who passed on her personal birthday wishes.
