There are enormous amount of activities planned for the day with the official presentation of Australia Day Awards and an address by Bombala's assigned Australia Day ambassador Bruce Elder.
Mr Elder is a former journalist and a radio regular who is currently writing a huge internet guide to Australia called Aussie Towns.
He became an Australia Day Ambassador in 1996 and since then he says he has been everywhere.
"There are quite literally, dozens of towns where I have watched the locals enjoy themselves on this very unusual, and usually very hot, public holiday.
"In total there are over 40 towns which have had to put up with burbling on and handing out awards," he said.
Mr Elder will present the Australia Day Awards to local recipients between heats of the shearing competition.
In conjunction with the NSW Strong Wool Shearing Championships that run throughout the day, a Mini Triathlon and Mini Tough Mudda obstacle course takes place in the morning.
For the youngsters there is a jumping castle, craft activities, Zorb balls and inflatable dart board.
There will be fashion parades between shearing heats and a sausage cook-off where people can vote for their favourite sausage
The Photography and Art Painting competitions with the theme 'Essence of Rural Australia' will be judged with the winners works entered into the Sydney Royal Show.
The annual raffle has some great prizes with a Fire Pit valued at $680 and gift vouchers from businesses around town.
Raffle tickets are available at the Bombala Show Shed, NAB Bombala, Bombala Newsagency, Ingrams Butchery and Landmark Bombala.
