CEO Tony Casu said NSW Health told him at 2pm on Wednesday, July 22, that the woman was at the club on on Monday, July 13.
Mr Casu said her name was not disclosed, but she had attended a district bowls meeting in the function room with about 28 others.
The patron previously visited Club Malua on July 7, 8 and 12 and the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club on July 8 and 10.
He said NSW Health classed the contact as "casual", but the club established a pop-up clinic inside the club and all staff had been tested by Wednesday evening.
Mr Casu understood "she unknowingly had it (COVID-19) on that day".
"NSW Health told us not to close, and if any staff show symptoms, to ask them to be tested," Mr Casu said.
However, the club took extra precautions and closed the doors at 4pm for one week.
"We have taken the extra step to close doors yesterday," Mr Casu said on Thursday, July 23.
"It's the third time we've locked the doors this year."
Mr Casu said about 60 staff were tested at the club from 6pm-7.30pm on Wednesday.
"We don't have to do any of this, but are for the safety of members and staff - they come before trade and making a dollar," he said.
When the club reopens, Mr Casu said protocols would continue to be "very strict".
Narooma Croquet players, who use the club's facilities, have cancelled their meeting and matches.
"Unfortunately the croquet games programmed for Thursday, July 23 and Saturday, July 25, as well as the annual general meeting on Sunday, July 26, were cancelled," a spokesperson said.
"This was due to the temporary closure of Club Narooma and the Dalmeny Bowls Club until Wednesday, July 29, for a disinfectant clean of the premises following a COVID incident at the Narooma premises."
"The AGM will be rescheduled and croquet games will not recommence until it is safe as advised by health authorities."
