After a first round loss to the Roosters where the Dragons second rower suffered a head knock, Apps said the Dragons were hungry to take on the team that defeated them for the 2019 premiership.
"The Broncos are all class, they've set the standard each and every year - they'll be tough to beat this weekend," Apps said.
"But I do know that we have the girls on our team to do it - we just need to believe in our own ability and our own selves and play our game. Hopefully we can capitalise on that to get a win.
"It is do-or-die for us this weekend so we'll be coming out firing."

Meanwhile, Broncos prop Millie Boyle was a quiet achiever, running 12 hit ups for nearly 90 metres and securing a try-assist for fullback Tamika Upton - who ran in a hat-trick in Brisbane's 28-14 win over the Warriors.
Upton said the Warriors had put them under early pressure, but field position favours the Broncos.
"Once we have the ball in a good area, our attack is hard to stop," Upton said.
She said Australian players like Kezie formed a backbone for the Dragons, but said the Broncos would "just have a go ... we'll see how it goes at the end of the week."

After the Dragons suffered a loss in the opening round last year, Apps believes her club needed to find their feet, but said the results pushed them then and will again drive the club for the result in the second round.
"Our first game we always seem to be finding our feet and getting a feel for all the girls because we don't get to play together often and we've got a fairly new squad," she said.
"Game one for us is a bit hectic, but going to game two a bit more prepared knowing the areas we need to work on."
While the opening round provided something of a laundry-list of injuries between the Roosters and the Dragons, Apps has been undergoing the HIA protocols to ensure her safety ahead of the weekend.
"It wasn't how I wanted to play the game out and i was pretty filthy that I didn't get to finsh with the girls and help keep fighting through," Apps said. "I'm going through it all at the moment to get back for this weekend."
