This year the Bombala Council has again welcomed a good number of entries into its annual Christmas Lights Competition, having boasted the biggest prize it has ever been able to offer.
Aeropelican very generously jumped on board to provide the impressive first prize of two return airfares to Sydney with $150 spending money for Best Residence in the competition, while $100 was offered for second prize.
It turns out that the entries this year were so impressive, however, that the competition ended up with equal second prize winners, as well as a third prize!
Meanwhile our business people were tempted with $250 for Best Shopfront, with the whole prize pool leading to some pretty spectacular entries.
Of course the four judges had a hard task ahead of them, but working off their point score system, they eventually decided the winners based on everything from how creative the displays were, to how well they fitted into their setting.
The Bombala Council is very pleased to announce that Scott and Kirby Schofield were the winners of the big Aeropelican prize for the Best Residence, while the homes of Bec Kidd and Phil Lucas, and Glen and Leanne Johnson scored $100 for equal second place.
Congratulations also goes to Kevin Mackay of Delegate who won $75 for third place, and the Bombala Bakery which won the $250 prize for Best Shopfront.
The Bombala Council would like to sincerely thank Aeropelican for its incredible support of the Christmas Lights Competition, as well as all of those who put in the effort to decorate and enter.
