Due to a miscommunication, the Bombala Times printed the wrong date for the upcoming Bombala Trail Horse Riders Annual Charity Ride, which will actually be held on Saturday, October 30.
We can only apologise for this mix up, and re-iterate that the trail ride will not be held this weekend, but is instead to be enjoyed the following weekend, October 30.
The event is an ATHRA sanctioned charity ride, and this year all funds raised will go to the Delegate Hospital Auxiliary.
The ride will be out in the Craigie area where the group will be riding through forestry and private property. There will be some amazing views over the whole region from the top of Craigie Range.
The ride will start at the Craigie Fire Shed, onto Carlton Track and then McDonalds Track.
Everyone is welcome. People who don’t ride are still able to join the group for tea and live music on Saturday night for just $20 per person.
A monster raffle with upwards of about 70 prizes will be held on Saturday night as well.
All other ride details and entry fees can be obtained by calling Henry Filtness and Kylee Hepburn on 6458 3506 or Carla Hepburn on 6458 1519, or by emailing hepburn@activ8.net.au
Entries close on Saturday, October 23. Early nominations for catering purposes would be much appreciated.
Organisers would love to see lots of local riders. A great camping area will be available and people are most welcome to arrive Friday night and stay right through until Sunday morning.
Thanks goes to all of the local businesses who have donated to the raffle.
