With over 760 runs for the weekend it meant early starts for all involved.
The maiden draft got underway at 6.30pm under the watchful eye of judge, Chloe Cottrell.
With over 100 entrants, competition was steep, however, Phillip Collins from Nimmitabel praised unbeatable after a run-off for first place against Ian Laurie from Braidwood.
The novice draft was also a popular event and had over 100 entrants.
This time Tom Verity of Deddick Valley would determine who deserved the winning trophy.
Alan Coleman of Gundagai and Phillip Collins of Nimmitabel were equal first after two rounds, and after a toss of a coin had to select another beast to see who would be overall winner.
Alan had a tremendous run, chasing his beast and walking home with ribbons, trophy and prize money.
A Terry Niven Memorial Top Cut Out Trophy was also presented to the rider with the highest score in the novice draft.
Dean Rogers of Bega was overall winner with a score of 22.
Bruce Niven and Erica Tetley were at the presentation dinner on Saturday evening to present this trophy to Dean.
The ladies' draft is proving to be a very competitive draft with over 65 entrants.
Skills were put to the test but unfortunately the cattle were tough and only 10 ladies could manage an outside score.
Nellie Coleman of Gundagai had two successful runs to take out first place, 10 points ahead of Debbie Dodwell, also from the Gundagai area.
An open draft was held on Saturday and another on Sunday.
Ian Laurie had a very successful weekend, taking out first and third place on Saturday and winning again on Sunday, taking home a string of trophies and also a free service fee.
Chris Craig from Delegate and his horse, Crowbar, proved unbeatable after a run-off for first place against Melanie Cochrane in the encouragement draft.
Michael Laurie from Braidwood had two great runs in the juvenile to take home first and second place.
The local top cut-out for the weekend, which covers the Far South Coast and Southern Tablelands Zone, was won by Clive Cottrell on Aberdeen with a score of 23.
Quarter horse stallion "Does Jay Oak" kindly donated by Kerry Payton and Phillip Collins.
A time trial was organised by Bill and Julie Peadon and ran on Sunday afternoon.
Ian Laurie of Braidwood went home with first and second place and Bill Peadon came third.
A cheque for $100 was an added bonus donated to the overall winner with a registered stock horse in addition to the prize money.
This cheque was kindly donated by Bibbenluke Australian Stock Horse Stud.
Fortunately for all, the weather was kind with only a slight shower on Saturday afternoon.
The Bombala Campdrafrt Committee would like to thank all the cattle producers throughout the district for kindly donating their cattle for the weekend. Without their generosity the draft would not be possible.
Thank you to the SES workers for being on standby both days at such short notice, your ability to put a team together at the last minute is appreciated.
Also thank you to the riders who drove cattle in the week prior to and the week after the draft.
There are so many people who helped make this draft run smoothly both on the committee and many not; thank you so much - you will not be forgotten.
The Bombala and District Rugby League provided barbecue, breakfasts and refreshments all weekend and a spectacular meal Saturday evening, thank you all again, it was tremendous.
I hope everybody enjoyed the draft and look forward to another great weekend next year.
