“Our club is a cradle to the grave club, with junior teams right through to golden oldies, and so we feel it’s important that we make a stand as a family club with a no tolerance policy for violence against women,” said club president, Matt Klem.
“When we were asked a few years back by the Goulburn Domestic Violence Committee to assist with special games to raise funds and awareness for the cause, we jumped at the opportunity.”
As part of its commitment, the club recorded this simple video to say that, while rugby matches may get physical and aggressive, that’s where it stays… on the field.
