This weeks Golden Oldie photo was taken in 1947 when Bombala won the Clayton's Cup and the Premiership defeating Nimmitabel 23 -2. In 1976 they won the Clayton's Cup again, and the Premiership defeating Delegate 12 - 4. Remarkably in the 1947 side Don Stewart and Laurie Wilton played, and in the 1976 their son's, Tim Stewart and John Wilton played.

Last weeks Golden Oldie photo was of an unknown soldier. The Bombala Times has ascertained he is a Light Horseman. He is wearing a bandoleer, leather gators and riding pants. He is also wearing a helmet and not the traditional emu feather hat. It is more than likely that he either fought at Gallipoli or the Boer War.
