This week’s Golden Oldie, a photo from year’s gone by is from the 1940’s. Is there anyone out there that knows anything about it? The props are brilliant and resemble Noah’s Ark. If anyone has any information about this photo, contact Jeanne Medlicott at jeanne.medlicott@fairfaxmedia.com.au

Last week’s photo was of the Globe Hotel before it became the Delegate Hotel when John Mundie took over. An advertisement Delegate Argus and Border Post, Thursday, June 23, 1898, announced John Mudie taking over from CW Evans. Also in the picture is a sign being held by a couple of gentlemen stating Vote Gus Miller of Cooma who was the local member of the Labor party. John Mudie passed away on April 23, 1911 and is buried in the Delegate cemetery. The next proprietor was Mr Hoare of Nimitybelle.
