Heading for western Sydney in the next school holidays, Kidtopia promises an absolute adventure of an outing: a giant playground for kids and parents wrapped up in a chilled festival vibe - and importantly one that won’t break the bank.
X-Factor winner Cyrus will headline a program of live music. Plus there’ll be dancing, yoga classes, hands-on science experiments, circus workshops, movies under the stars, and plenty of fantastic food to savour.
Tickets for the three-day festival, organised by Fairfax Events, are now on sale at kidtopiafestival.com.au.
Book early online and pay just $10-$15 a person, saving 50 per cent off the door price.
Entry for kids under five is free.
“Australian parents are always looking for something new and exciting to do with their kids, and love their music, food and spending time together,” Fairfax Events’ Cory Watson said.
“With Kidtopia, we’re providing all of that and more, with a vast array of fun and educational activities and entertainment the whole family can enjoy.”
Free yoga classes with Connect Kids Yoga is one way to combine fun with a healthy approach to life.
The founder of Connect Kids Yoga, Cynthia Levin, said yoga could help children deal with the stresses of growing up.
"There's so much pressure on kids in society these days that tells them what to do, what to wear, how to feel, how to think, and pressure from their peers and school. Yoga deals with all of that,” she said.
At Kidtopia, Connect Kids Yoga will be offering two free classes a day.
The littlest kids won’t miss out either. A mini-festival within a festival, Littletopia will be a special paradise for under-fives with games, face painting, music activities, jumping castles and appearances by Hey Duggee and Go Jetters.
Kidtopia will be held in Parramatta Park from Friday to Sunday, October 7 to 9.
The festival is supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
