Twenty eight local projects have been successful in gaining funding under round one with round two to open shortly.

Bombala Historic Engine and Machinery Society receive $20,000 for The Crossley Engine Project which is due to arrive in Bombala today.
Friends of Bombala Railway have been granted $11,472 towards the Snakes Alive Project: Lawn mower, whipper snipper and equipment
Adaminaby Campdraft Association will receive $32,000 to construct a mobile office and permanent PA system.
Bombala Golf Club Ltd get $20,000 towards car park sealing and drainage.
Nimmitabel Men’s Shed have been granted $1,350 to install a security system.
Monaro Community Access Service receive $2,000 to buy a trailer for community support endeavours.
Adaminaby Bowling & Sports Club get $10,510 towards upgrading the sewage system at the club.
Adaminiaby Country Women’s Association have been granted $8,611 towards capital works at the Adaminaby CWA rooms.
The Nimmitabel and District Garden Club receives $10,000 to the Nimmitabel Beautification Through Tree Planting program.
Upper Snowy Landcare is granted $33,000 towards native plant revegetation to tackle dieback in SMRC LGA.
The $15m fund was secured by Snowy Monaro Regional Council from the NSW State Government and will be delivered in two rounds.
The Member for Monaro John Barilaro, Snowy Monaro Regional Council administrator Dean Lynch and Snowy Monaro Regional Council general manager Joe Vescio announced and visited some of the successful recipients on Tuesday.
“Locals in Bombala, Nimmitabel, Adaminaby and Delegate will see the benefit from a number of these community projects including new car park sealing at the Bombala Golf Club, playground upgrades at the Nimmitabel Pre-School and club house upgrades for the Adaminaby CWA,” Mr Barilaro said.
“Community groups are the heart and soul of our communities and the services they provide make a real and lasting difference to the lives of residents.”
“This fund allows local residents, community groups and new councils to work together to deliver infrastructure and services that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of local communities.”
Snowy Monaro Regional Council Administrator Dean Lynch said over 100 impressive and diverse applications were received and assessed by the Stronger Communities Fund Assessment Panel.
“The Assessment Panel considered all of the applications regionally and selected those that would have a beneficial impact for everyone in the community. We were all impressed by the high calibre of projects that the community would like to get up and running,” Mr Lynch said.
“In the event a project has not been successful in round one, we encourage incorporated, not-for-profit organisations to consider re-submitting in round two.”
More successful projects in round one will be announced over the coming weeks.
