The 31-year-old was extradited from New South Wales to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 11.
Upon his release from the Cooma Correctional Centre on January 10, he was arrested by NSW police on behalf of ACT Policing. After appearing in the Queanbeyan Local Court for a hearing, he was transported the ACT Watch House a short time later.
The man is facing charges relating to the aggravated robbery of the Cellarbrations Liquor Store in Nicholls, ACT on April 27, 2016.
It is alleged that he and an accomplice used a stolen vehicle and held up the store brandishing a firearm that was pointed at the attendant.
He also faces family violence charges from May 9, 2016. Police will be opposing bail for all charges.
ACT Policing thanked NSW Police for their assistance in this matter.
