Staff were happy to see so many students take part, and said congratulations should go to every child who participated in an event.
“Special recognition must go to our less confident swimmers who pushed themselves and completed an event,” a spokesperson said. “There were some courageous swims.
“Thank you also to those parents who spent some time with a stopwatch in hand, timing events. We appreciate your contributions.
“Special thanks also to Keiren Rodwell, who ensured the safety of the children as they ploughed up and down the pool. Well done to all staff at BPS who organized and ran the event!”
Killarney was deemed the winning house on the day, with the trophy being accepted by house captains Ashley Marsden and Colby Brownlie.
The Bombala District PSSA Carnival will be held on February 19 with competition from St Joseph’s and Delegate schools.
