This week’s photo is of Bombala business men that was taken in the early 1890’s on the south side of the Commercial Bank where the (NAB) is now.
We realise that it is highly unlikely that there is anyone left now that recognises any of the faces, so we thought we might tell you a little bit about who they were.
You maybe related to or know some details of the gentleman in the photograph. If you do we would love to hear from you.
In the back row first left is Sergeant Michael Carroll who came to Bombala 1883 and was pensioned in June 1898. He was one of the force who put an end to the bushranging career of Captain Jones and his gang, around the Michelago area.
