The Cedars Christian College student was one of two children selected for the role of “Young Clara”, a featured artist throughout the contemporary production.
“My dad is an entertainer,” Emma’s mum Kylie said.
“I think it’s a family gene; they’re all entertainers in my family, Sophie Monk is a cousin.”
Emma’s also been invited to the Royal Ballet School this year for intensive training as well as being part of the Australian Ballet School Interestate Program.
“She trains six days a week and never misses a beat with school work, she’s a hard worker,” Mrs Gavan said.
The production runs from May 2 to 20 and includes three other Illawarra dancers: Mia Atkinson, Amber Alston and Faith Maggs. www.australianballet.com.au
