On Saturday the members played a Stableford for Club Trophy. Ind. Acc. There was a good roll up on a great day for golf with tired chaps returning from their week of golf. The winner was Ray Fermor 42 pts from Ray Crawford 41 pts, (Ray was the winner of the week) Merv Douch 40 pts and Phillip McIntosh 39 pts. Good scoring chaps. These chaps were the ball winners. Merv Douch won NTP.
Sunday was the Mixed Foursomes Championships played over 27 Holes. Players hit off in a pea-souper and very cold with the sun not appearing until about noon. As always with foursomes, shots were being played from places some had not experienced before and meeting other groups on the wrong fairways. It was a fun day with laughter and frustrations. The chaps refrained from swearing but in some incidences the ladies may have wished they did swear then they could have sworn too. The Mixed Foursomes champions are Simon Stephen and Di Ingram 129 from Phillip McIntosh and Dawn Douch 134. Handicaps champions are Colin Gronow and Heather Brown 107 from Pepper Thompson and Joy Douch 111. It was a good weekend for the Ingram’s with Di’s son Philip in the winning team of the Holden Scramble in Cooma on Saturday.
