“I’m looking forward to this new role, I’d say I’m friendly, patient and a calm person, so this will help me as I get to know staff,” he said.
Newly appointed Director of Corporate and Community Services, Peter Cannizzaro has been in his new role for almost a month.
Mr Cannizzaro has moved to Cooma from the Central Coast and has years of experience in the corporate world and in local government.
While he was living on the Central Coast, Mr Cannizzaro worked for the Central Coast Council as their manager of Corporate Business Operations where he managed their IT department, GIS, Procurement, Stores, Fleet management, health, safety and environmental management.
As Snowy Monaro Regional Council’s director of Corporate and Community Services, Mr Cannizzaro will oversee several diverse service departments including: governance, IT, records, financial services, rates, human resources, community services and aged care.
“I’m impressed by what we’ve managed to do here in a short space of time,” he said.
