For once the women were lucky with the weather, although they were playing in wind but managed to get back in the club before the weather turned nasty.
Di Ingram had a good round until coming to the dreaded 17th but still came in the winner with 41 pts.
Balls were won by Gay Kennedy 37 points still playing well after her forced break and Betty Crawford 33 pts who was also having a good round except for a couple of holes.
On Saturday the members played a Stroke for the Monthly Medal. Phillip McIntosh had a good round winning with a 65 nett. Balls went to Tosh, Glen Hampshire and Ray Fermor 69 nett.
Sunday was the first round of the 4 BBB Championships, but with football in town the field was small.
Leaders of the Scratch after the first round are Brad Yelds and Phillip McIntosh 74.
Handicap Leaders are Merv Douch and Pepper Thompson 63 nett. Balls went to Brad and Tosh 60.5 nett. NTP: was won by Ross Brown.

With “arfup”
On Saturday, July 29, one social game was played. M. Gutherie and K. Callaway 24 defeated B. Douch and Chris X 5.
Also on Saturday three local teams traveled to Candelo for the Jack Hobbs Memorial Carnival two day event.
Results were team Griggs recorded 2 wins plus 4. Team Kyle 2 wins plus 7. Team Athol 3 wins plus 16.
Sunday, July 30 results - team Griggs recorded 3 losses minus 19.
Team Kyle 3 wins plus 25. Team Athol 1 win minus 5.
Combined Two day total - Team Griggs 2 win 4 losses minus 15
Team Kyle 5 wins 1 loss plus 32. Team Athol 4 wins 2 losses plus 3.
Winners for the weekend were Tathra.
The Bombala side comprising H. Elliott, Bert Ingram and Kyle Richardson took out runners up with 5 wins 1 loss plus 32.
