Rural Fire Service crews were called to bush alight off Filter Road on three occasions.
The first was around 1.45pm on Friday, where bush just north of the Flatrock Creek Dam wall was set alight.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews started the fight against the blaze before RFS crews arrived.
Fanned by strengthening winds the blaze tore down the eastern bank of Flatrock Creek and up onto the cliff line before crews could extinguish it.
RFS crews were again called back to the location at 8.30am Saturday where another blaze had broken out.
Crews worked at the location until midday and were called back to the same area for a third time at 10.45pm Saturday.
Crews from West Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads and Cambewarra combined over the weekend to fight the blazes, which burnt out around a hectare of bushland.
RFS fire investigators and police are looking into all three blazes, which are believed to have been deliberately lit and separate fires on each occasion.
Crews from West Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads and Cambewarra combined over the weekend to fight the blazes, which burnt out around a hectare of bushland.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or by using the online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au .
Meanwhile, the Jervis Bay fire continues to burn in remote, inaccessible bushland but remains within containment lines.
The fire is burning slowly through remote bush, south east of the trig-comms infrastructure towards the point of the St George headland on the southern entrance to Jervis Bay.
The fire that started in Summercloud Bay more than a week ago has burnt out close to 1700 hectares of bush.
Wreck Bay Road and Summercloud Road remain closed to the public, however the majority of Booderee National Park is open to the public.
The RFS, Booderee National Park rangers and defence personnel will continue to patrol and monitor the fire activity for at least another week.
