The new Chamber has a mission statement to bring together the wonders of the village to wider attention by organising and running events for the enjoyment of locals and visitors.
The first event being run is the Back to Nimmitabel Festival on Saturday, October 28.
The festival will celebrate the rich history of the town and its people over the years.
“With the streetscape of restored historic buildings featuring as a backdrop, the festival will host a range of activities and demonstrations in the yards and premises of the businesses on the main street,” chamber secretary Tess Hudson said.
“There will be a Town Crier announcements throughout the day; the Trick-a-Treat fancy dress and disco party just to name a few.”
